i can't live without you now

Hello darlings!
Summer has officially started!!!
A little hair update: if you didn't already know, I have blonde hair and a side shave which has actually grown pretty quickly. Plus I recently dyed my hair purple!
I'm finally reunited with my bestie Madison after not seeing her for a year!! So here are some outfit photos we took! :)

~me~
shirt: dennis
shorts: american apparel
shoes: vans
purse: h&m

My shirt is actually my school uniform shirt that I tie-dyed in AP Art on our last day. I really like how the design and pastel dye (dye+water) turned out.

~madison~
shirt: merchnow.com
shorts: american eagle
bag: billabong

Madison's wearing a Sleeping With Sirens shirt as it's one of her favourite bands. She bought it online and eventually cut it.

madison recently dyed her hair blonde
pins: all but two are homemade

mah hurrrr

I've been volunteering at a music festival, as I've mentioned before, and got to see Steve Martin and Earth, Wind & Fire, among others! THEY WERE SO GOOD!
Please check out my best friend Valentina's blog!

you gave me a forever within the numbered days, and i'm grateful

Hello again!
Friday was my last day interning at the theatre and I have to say I really did enjoy it and feel like I learnt a lot, so I'm happy and just hope I get a good grade on my report and oral exam. Cross your fingers for me please!

That night, my friends and I went out and ate dinner and then we decided to head down to the beach.
The moon was already out and it was dark yet the sun still left an orange-cloud horizon on the ocean.
The sand was cold and we all expected the water to be freezing as usual but when we stepped into it, it was surprisingly nice. Those of us wearing pants (I was wearing this) rolled those puppies up before going in any farther.
Three of my friends decided to take one big step in every time a wave washed onto shore and two of them went so far that when one tried to turn around, she face planted into the water and was completely soaked!
It was hilarious. *laughs maniacally*
(I'm a good friend I swear...)

After she got soaked, we all started splashing each other more and more to the point where we were all drenched and sandy and the whole rolling up the pants to my knees thing didn't help at all...
We were all chasing and shoving each other, trying to soak each other and push one another in the water. I stopped for a moment to dramatically watch my friends run around at night on the beach with the pier behind us, -- the ferris wheel lit up beautifully,-- to think of how cool and lovely this whole moment felt and how happy I was to have found them all and how perfect and teen-sitcom-in-california this whole thing was. *pictures whole thing in slow motion with dramatic music and everyone laughing every five seconds*
I love having these kinds of moments though, when I kind of step back and think 'wow. i'm living this. with these amazing people. feeling like a real teenager. it's a good life hazel grace (had to sorry)'

SPEAKING OF WHICH
I went to see The Fault In Our Stars and omgomgomgomg it was so good!!!!!!!
It was so accurate and they mostly just removed things to focus on the love story. They did change one thing at the end, but i won't tell you just in case, but if you do go see it, you'll know what I mean and please let me know what you thought!
The actors seemed so perfect for the characters, and even the sets were on point to me. It literally felt like the exact representation of the book.
ALSO GUS IS SO CUTE OMG ESPECIALLY THE AIRPLANE SCENE HE'S JUST SO EXCITED AND ALSO WHEN HE SEES HAZEL IN HER DRESS HE'S JUST SPEECHLESS AND OMG I JUST CAN'T DO IT MAN I'M GONNA CRY SO I'M JUST GONNA TELL YOU MY STORY REALLY QUICKLY
~casually just teared up but I'm back now. I'm calm and collected~

So much crying though. So much.
BUT I also started cracking up at probably the saddest part.
~STORY TIME~
So mid-sad scene, we're all crying. The woman next to me even has tissues and keeps sniffling and blowing her nose and  all of a sudden this woman behind us basically yell-sobs and my friend and I look at each other, smiling.
THEN a few seconds later, another girl starts sobbing veryveryvery loudly and we could hear people trying to comfort her. So all of a sudden, a woman sitting in our row gets up and exclaims *read sassily* "Can you PLEASE be quiet" with all the sass she can muster (which btw was a lot).

THEN probably the saddest scene comes up and the girl starts sobbing even louder than before, and starts hyperventilating/hiccuping and I kid you not I cracked up and had to plug my nose to prevent myself from laughing out loud and looking like a terrible person for a) laughing at the saddest scene ever and b) laughing at this poor sobbing girl
So there i am, sitting in a movie theatre during the saddest scene, tears still streaming down my face, laughing into my sweater, trying to calm down. I'm terrible, I know.
But then my friend and her mom start to laugh too, and then the girls in front of us start as well so I guess I'm not THAT bad... (right?)

During the last scene though, the girl starts sobbing again but not nearly as loudly but I somehow managed to control myself and stay focused on the movie to let the feels out. Pain demands to be felt. (I'M SORRY I HAD TO)
Finally, when the lights go up, the sassy lady gets up and looks in the general direction of the sobbing (yes she was still sobbing) and yells *read sassily* "You're obviously not old enough to go to the movies because you can't be quiet for everyone else" then sassily leaves the room.
She stood outside the theatre room door though, frowning angrily. (We think she was waiting for the sobbing girl to come out so she could sass her. Again.)
LET THE POOR GIRL CRY IN PEACE
She probably saved me from uncontrollable sobbing too though...
Such a good movie urgh
I highly recommend you go see it and especially read the book.

Sorry this was so long... Here's an air hug for reading the whole thing!

What have you been up to this weekend? Have you read/seen The Fault In Our Stars? What did you think?

you can ring my bell

Hello dolls!
School's almost ouuuuut!!!! I can't wait for summer so I can lazily watch movies, read and write as much as I want, be stress free, shop, stay up late, and not have to worry about school or homework.
Yesterday was my first day interning at a theatre and it was really interesting, I made part of the programs for the upcoming shows so that was cool!
After my internship, I go back to school to write the world's longest report on it then have an oral exam on it as well then
I'm freeeeeeeeeee!!!!
Soon, I'll be volunteering at a music festival, going to a music festival, celebrating Canada Day, and hopefully having an amazing summer!

nail polish - h&m (it lasted 2 days worth of pool & a whole week before chipping)
ring - urban outfitters

Saturday was one of my deerest (hi) friends' birthday and he had a dance party and it was absolutely lovely!
The music was awesome for dancing, especially because there were different genres like disco, punk, rock, techno-ish, latino music, basically everything except pop.
Plus, there was really good food, an adorable dog and a cute roof-climbing cat.
My friend Chanelle and I recently discovered the beauty that is a slack line and we're slightly obsessed and there magically was one at the party and I'll let you guess what happened...
(hint: we went on it a lot)
Also, I got to spend time and dance with some of my best friends and who doesn't like dancing or spending time with their favourite people???

~and now, the moment you've all been waiting for...~
~the clothes~

jacket - a generous gift from my best friend
grey crop top - h&m
black skater skirt - h&m
purple shoes - vans
bloody legs - mine thabks

I may or may not wear this skirt basically 24/7 which is weird because I didn't use to be very fond of skirts, but I guess I got more used to them because of my uniform. And also, once I got this one, I fell in love and now I love skirts!
I'm wearing my purple vans because I knew I was gonna dance around and twirl like a princess, woohoooooo!

choker - thrifted
necklace - somewhere in Korea
I love this outfit because it looks so grungy and I feel like a total badass in it. (It's mostly the jacket to be honest)

back of the jacket
Can we just take a second to admire this jacket.
~swoon~
My best friend Christina very (times infiniti) generously gave me this jacket and I lovelovelovelovelovelovelove it, it's so soft and gorgeous and grungy and reminds me of Asia and i just... *sighs of love*

FUNNY STORY TIME
So, walking from the party down a PITCH BLACK pathway to our car, my mom says "step step" so I repeat "watch the step" to my friends after taking the step and thinking "wow, thank god I knew about it, good thing I told them, now they won't fall unless they don't listen, that would be funny" *evilly laughs on the inside*
Then I trip on the second step, hit the edge against my legs, fall on the steps and now I have the world's biggest scrape on my leg and two smaller ones on both legs.

This may not sound that painful but it bled like a drop so it was obviously super painful and also the scrape is about (casually just measured it for you) 7 centimeters long and 4 centimeters wide and hurts even when I don't touch it and stings all the time. *dramatically cries*
After everyone made sure I was ok, we're all laughing (them more than me) and my mom says "I said step step, that's what we told Splash (a blind dog we knew)! Step step means two steps, come on Céline!"
Thanks mom, I'm clumsier and understand less than a blind dog.
Awesome.

Hope my painful story made you smile at least. :)

What are your plans for this summer? What have you been up to lately? Anything painful yet funny happen to you?

Thanks to Valentina for taking these pictures (and actually wanting to) with her super pro camera
Special thanks to Christina for the lovely jacket
