but baby, i'm trying

SURPRISE!!

An outfit post?? From me?? Wait whaaaaat?
That's right, folks! I'm back! Well, sort of. I don't know how often I'll be posting, and I'm not really planning on posting particularly regularly anyway, but I just felt like I needed to share an outfit and get back into the blogosphere a bit. See, I've been feeling a bit in a fashion rut in a way.
This year, I've mostly opted for either really intricate outfits or really comfy, easy to wear outfits (I'm not very good at managing my time so easy outfits are the best option when you've already tried on 6 outfits and your mom is in the car honking at you to get your butt in the car already!).
Anyway, so I've kind of been bleh on the fashion side. And on top of it, with everything that's going on in my life (exciting things!!), I feel like I kind of need to get back into blogging because I feel the way I did when I first started: kind of lost fashion-wise but wanting to find my style -- whatever it was/may be -- and wanting to get inspired by all the other blogs and outfits in the world.
So, here I am!
(Also: please excuse the terrible photos. My mom used to take the pictures for me but she wasn't home when I wanted to take these and I was too excited to wait so I took them with my laptop lel)

crop tank top: american apparel // shorts: american apparel // shoes: the shoe company

I'm finally starting to get the hang of liquid eyeliner!! Woohoo!!

Didn't realize my dog looked ready to bite me when I took this...
Thought my face was too funny not to share...
In other news, I have officially graduated high school (!!!!) and am headed to university in the fall to study film production!! I have cut my hair (as you can see in the pictures), and I've been taking looooads of pictures with my film camera, making short films (you can check them out on my YouTube channel!) and getting hella involved in art stuff like having my photos published in zines, a magazine (!!!), having two of my films featured on ScreenQueens, and taking part in an upcoming art show that not only showcases some of my photography but is SELLING IT! How cool is that?!?! Life is good, my dudes, life is good.

Anyway, last but not least, the title is a lyric from this beautiful yet not particularly recent song -- Lucky by Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat.
P.S. I hope your summers are going well!
